Search and map

How do I find a property?

Click the search field at the top left of the map, or press Ctrl + G (Windows) or Cmd + G (Mac). Search by address, matrikkel number or place name.

The video shows all three: the address Tordenskiolds gate 2 in Oslo, a name search for Frognerseteren limited to Companies, and the matrikkel number 1865-55-30-0-0 in Vågan.

How do I turn on a map layer?

Click Map layer at the top right, then Browse layers. Search for the layer or choose a category, and click Add on the card. The layer now sits in the Map layer panel, where the toggle on the row hides and shows it.

The video adds Støykartlegging etter T-1442 and Trafikkulykker - varmekart, and shows one layer at a time using the toggles in the panel.

How do I select several properties at once?

Hold down Ctrl (Windows/Linux) or Cmd (Mac) and click each property you want to add to the selection.

Analysis and 3D

How do I analyse an area?

Analyze is coming soon. You draw an area on the map and choose the analysis type: Floors (building), UFA m² (building), UFA% (plot), BYA% (plot) or Demographics (area).

The video draws one polygon over Kvadraturen in Oslo and runs three analyses on it without drawing again: BYA% (plot), UFA% (plot) and Floors (building).

How do I run a travel distance analysis?

Travel distance is coming soon. The tool draws an isochrone from a starting point you click on the map, for the mode of travel and time limit you choose, and calculates the demographics inside it. Once it is released, it appears in the Analyze panel.

How do I run a demographic analysis?

Draw an area and choose Demographics (area). You get population numbers, daytime population, age distribution, dwelling types, ownership share, income and wealth for the area you drew.

The video draws the same polygon over Kvadraturen and scrolls through the whole list of results.

How do I switch to 3D mode?

Click 3D at the top right of the map. Buildings and terrain are shown in three dimensions. Navigate with the scroll wheel (zoom) and the right mouse button (rotate and tilt). Click 2D to go back to the flat map.

The video switches to 3D and goes through the tools 3D gives you: Measurements, Daylight, Shadow, Elevation Profile, Line of Sight and Viewshed.

How do I measure distance or height on the map?

Switch to 3D mode. The toolbar along the right edge holds the measuring tools: Measurements for distance and area, Elevation Profile for terrain along a line. Both are only available in 3D, and the video above shows them in use.

Projects and tags

How do I create a project?

Click the project menu at the bottom of the left menu and choose New project. Give the project a name.

How do I add a property to a project?

Click the property on the map to open the property panel. Choose Add to project and pick the right project from the list.

How do I create a tag?

Click Tags in the left menu and choose New tag. Tags let you categorise properties across projects and export the selection to Excel.

The video creates the tag "Til vurdering" on Tordenskiolds gate 2 from the property panel, opens the Tags panel, zooms out to all tagged properties and searches back to the single one.

How do I add a note or a task?

Open the property panel, click the Activities tab and choose New note or New task. Activities are linked to the property and appear in the project it belongs to.

Reports and export

How do I use Reports?

Reports is coming soon. You will then choose a report from a selected property (price statistics, demographics, nature values and more) and save it as a PDF with Ctrl + P. Today, Analyze gives you demographics and land use for an area you draw yourself.

How do I export data?

Use Tags to build a list and click Export for .xlsx. The map is exported via the print button (the printer icon) in the toolbar along the right edge.
