API platform
Placepoint API is a single API platform for the Placepoint data: property, buildings, owners, companies, tenants, address search, valuation, area analysis and map embedding. It suits cases where data has to go into a business system, a data warehouse or your own application.
The platform brings together the APIs and functionality from Placepoint, PropCloud and Placepoint Maps. What used to be three products with an API each becomes one: one agreement, one login and one set of endpoints. The merge happens in stages, and new endpoints arrive as the services move over. The data is the same as in Placepoint Fusion: each dataset, what it contains and where it comes from is described on Data and sources, who supplies what on Vendors, and the scope on Placepoint in numbers. What the map and the map layers show is what the API delivers.
The developer portal
The developer portal is the reference documentation, in English, with endpoints, parameters and examples for each API. Today it documents:
- Customer API: property data by matrikkelnummer, with plots, buildings, owners and addresses, the same as the property panel shows.
- Matching API: search and matches for Norwegian addresses and places, like search in Placepoint Fusion.
- Embed Service: tokens for embedding the Placepoint map in your own applications.
The REST APIs use OAuth2 with a client ID and client secret, and respond with JSON. Access is agreed with us: get in touch via placepoint.no/selskap/kontakt.
Tenant API
Tenant API answers who rents in a Norwegian commercial property, with one call on the matrikkelnummer. The tenant list is verified against Enhetsregisteret at Brønnøysundregistrene (BRREG), enriched with observations from other sources such as shop listings, Mattilsynet and location data, and updated every night. The page gives you a time-limited trial key with GitHub login that works on the demo properties, and the key also opens the rest of Placepoint API: ownership, energy, accounts and valuation. Access for the whole country is agreed with us.
Would you rather ask than program
Placepoint AI gives Claude the same data without you writing code, and the Agent does it inside Placepoint Fusion; ready-made reports and example prompts are on Examples. The API suits cases where the data has to go into a system that runs without a person in the conversation.
